1 Important Read this user manual carefully before y ou use the appliance, and sa ve the user manual for future
reference.
W arning
• Do not immer se the motor unit in water nor r inse
it under the tap .
• Before y ou connect the appliance to the po wer ,
make sure that the v oltage indicated on the bottom
of the appliance cor responds to the local pow er
voltage.

• If the blades get stuck, unplug the appliance before

Themixer , whenusedashandheldisequippedwiththeinnovativeFlexiMixsystem, whichallows
the beater s and dough hooks to mov e up and down when they touch the bowl. The two wire
beater s/stripbeater s(orkneadinghooks)moveindependentlyofeachother , whichallowsthemto
adjust to the shape of ever y bowl. As a result, it is much easier to reach ever y par t of the bo wl and
tomixallingredientsthoroughly . TheFlexiMixsystemmakesthemixereasiertohandleandgives
you better control o ver the mixing process.

4 Use the appliance Befor e the rst use
Beforeyouusetheappliancef orther sttime, thoroughlycleanthepar tsthatcomeintocontact
with food.
1 Clean the mixer unit, stand and holder with a moist cloth.
2 Clean the beater s, kneading hooks, bar b lender , bo wl, chopper and beaker in war m water with
some washing-up liquid or in a dishwasher .

Switch on the mixer . Select a proper speed. T o avoid splashing, star t mixing at a low speed, and then
switch to a higher speed.
• For a higher speed, press and hold TURBO while processing.
• Whenusingthemix erashand-held, switchontheFlexiMixButtontousetheFlexiMix
function.
WhenFlexiMixison, thebeater sordoughhooksmoveupanddo wnwhentheytouchthebowl,
making it easier to reach ever y par t of the bo wl.
Tip
•
Makesurethatthedoorforbarblenderisclosedbef oreyouinser tthebeaterorkneadinghook.
• Press the spatula against the side of the bowl to remo ve unmixed ingredients in order to obtain a
well-mixedmixture.(HR1590, HR1591, HR1592, HR1593andHR1594only)
• Y oucanusethemixerwithorwithoutthestand. (HR1590, HR1591, HR1592, HR1593andHR1594

Bar blender
Tip
•
MakesurethatthespeedselectoristurnedtoO.
• Inser t the bar blender into the door .
• Press and hold TURBO to switch on the bar blender . The speed selector is locked at O(OFF
position)anddoesnotwork.
• Close the bar blender door after use.
Chopper (HR1578 and HR1579 only)
Note
•
Be ver y careful when you handle the blade unit, the blades are very shar p. Be par ticularly careful
when you remo ve the blade unit from the chopper bo wl, when you empty the chopper bowl and
during cleaning.
• Whenchoppingsoybean, usethemaximumquantity(200g)withTURBO speed for 5 seconds for
best result.
• Forfrozenbeefcube, usethemaximumsiz eof2x2x2cmwhenprocessing.
Tip
•
If the ingredients stick to the wall of the chopper bowl, loosen them with a spatula.
• Do not process more than 1 batch without interr uption. Let the appliance cool down to room
temperature before you continue processing.
